Discover contemporary art, converse with artists, and spend an evening at the Städel in a relaxed atmosphere. This is “Städel Invites”!
Curator Svenja Grosser talks to the artist duo Elmgreen & Dragset about their exhibition “Stillleben mit Gemüse” at the Städel Museum. Short guided tours in German and English invite visitors to discover the fascinating connections between the works of Elmgreen & Dragset and the Städel Collection, which spans over 700 years of art. Drinks and snacks from Madame Herrlich, as well as a DJ set, will round off the evening. The talk will be held in English.
The series of events entitled “Städel Invites” accompanies exhibitions of selected contemporary artists, in partnership with BMW.

With their exhibition “Stillleben mit Gemüse”, the artist duo Elmgreen & Dragset transforms the Städel Museum into a fascinating interplay of reality and illusion. Their sculptures and installations enter into a dialogue with the architecture and the permanent collection of the Städel Museum, which spans over 700 years, opening up new and surprising perspectives.

Where can I park near the Städel Museum?
Please note that there is no special parking for museum visitors directly at the museum. We therefore recommend that you use the nearby multi-storey car parks.
Parking for cars
Multi-storey car parks are located within walking distance of approximately 10 minutes from the museum. Names and addresses:

Parking for coaches

May I take a bag, jacket, food, or beverages into the Städel Museum?
For security reasons, bags (larger than DIN A4) and jackets must be checked in the cloakroom. In order to avoid unintended contact with the works of art, no articles of clothing may be carried over your arm in the exhibition rooms.
The consumption of food and beverages is not permitted in the exhibition rooms. Beverages may not be taken into the exhibition halls. All such items can be checked in the cloakroom.
