Live Music, DJ, Art & Drinks in the Städel Garden
The “Städel Sunday Sessions” are returning to the Städel Garden. On three Sundays in May, June and August, the outdoor area of the Städel Museum will once again be transformed into a vibrant summer hangout filled with music, art and culinary delights. Hosted in collaboration with Riverside Session and the Frankfurt bar AMP, this event series invites visitors to wind down their weekend in a laid-back setting atop the museum’s lush garden hill. Live music, DJ sets, refreshing drinks, culinary treats, and short guided tours of contemporary art promise a vibrant and varied programme for these warm summer evenings.
From 4.30 pm to 7 pm, art mediators will guide visitors through the Städel Garden and the Contemporary Art galleries, which, with over 230 works by 170 artists, open up a multi-layered panorama of art since 1945.
There will also be short guided tours of the exhibition “Rineke Dijkstra. Beach Portraits”.
Since 2022, the Riverside artist collective has been revitalising Frankfurt’s music scene beyond the banks of the Main with Funk, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Afro, Latin, and Soul, creating meeting places in the city with an international flair. Around the Riverside Collective, musicians and artists from a wide range of genres meet and improvise together.
The summer evenings are rounded off culinarily with special drinks and tasty snacks from the AMP bar. Among the mix of international classics and original creations, AMP’s high balls are perhaps the best in the city.
